2012 MVP Global Summit

I was fortunate to attend the 2012 MVP Global Summit in Seattle this past week. It started with a great day of MVP to MVP sessions where 3 ALM Rangers projects were presented, followed by 4 intense days with the product teams.

The summit is always a special event with great product team interaction and fantastic attendance from MVP’s travelling from all corners of the world. It was great to see some old faces and meet many new people,

Highlights for me this year

  • Monday: Presenting the Build Customization Guide to to the other MVP’s and various product team members
  • Tuesday: Being awarded ALM MVP of the Year along with Neno Loje.Award_Blog_thumb[1]
  • Wednesday: Shipping the BETA ALM Rangers projects along with VS11 and getting my ALM Rangers Champion of Champions 2012 award, as well as a fun ‘Zombie’ award for my ill-fated sabbatical. I now have three plaques:DSC_0076_thumb[3]
  • And a summit wouldn’t be a summit without a few shirts Smileshirts_blog_thumb[1]
  • Thursday: Dinner with S. Somasegar and other MS Execs. All the MVP’s of the Year from the various programs were invited.
  • Friday: A great lab day and spending time with Chuck Sterling and Willy-Peter Schaub.
  • Saturday: Pizza with Martin Hinshelwood and his son Kai…. and then the plane home!
This year seemed more tiring than previous years but was just as fun. I hope I get the opportunity to do it again and wish all MVP’s a safe trip home…
